i'm developer , haven't used framemaker before. unforeseen reasons, i've inherited our technical documentation constructed in framemaker i've never used. unfortunately i'm under tight deadline , i'm attempting update our existing , extensive application files.
however, i'm getting "validation of xml file failed" error 90% of our .xml docs. opened our .book file in framemaker easily, , can see of our .xml files. variables embedded in documents aren't being recognized , seem causing above error. i've located our variable definition files (xml) in concepts folder, framemaker doesn't seem recognize them. suggestions on can check or how can fm refer variable definitions? i'm working new installation of fm, there setup overlooked?
