Max7219 for Linear LED display

hello terryking228, magicj , arduino forum,

based on schematic found at
http://playground.arduino.cc/main/max72xxhardware
and sketch in "demo led matrix" at
http://playground.arduino.cc/main/ledcontroldemos#ledmatrixdemo
a bread board put together.


it realized sketch in "demo led matrix"
is matrix not linear display approach
was result , adopt sketch the
linear display matrix display. and
learn how sketch working.

but no result forthcoming.
any idea breakdown is?

what not forthcomming? nothing lit @ all? lights not doing right pattern?

a hint describing problem state did (you have shown schematic code), expected , happened.
