i'm trying clean install of karmic. dual boot windows xp on 1 hd , karmic on other. when partition part of install forcing me mirror hard disks , not giving me choice of either disk. tried disconnecting windows hdd grub not find when plugged in (i did rerun grub livecd , edited menu.lst). raid disabled in bios , reinstall of jaunty has no such problem. have reisntalled jaunty time being try upgrade.
have ecs c51gm-m motherboard 3.8ghz am2 processor, 2 samsung 500gb hdds
during installation did try "manual" (custom?) partitioning instead of "guided"?
