let me start out saying know nothing electronics; little pi; , diy projects notable amount of personal injury manage sustain seemingly innocuous objects.
however. not dissuaded mere incompetence , tendency of inanimate objects attack/combust/explode around me, here's i'm trying do:
reliable device -like netbook- basic internet/email/chat , lasts long time between charges. solar assisted enhance time. realise -using 7" display limit area available panels- there's not going enough charge coming in run totally; should (hopefully) enough extend running time...also travelling types can throw on car seat or whatever , pump bit between meetings. attempt make part can replaced easily-available parts
needs feed:
-pi
-screen (7", 1024x800)
-storage device (let's 1 of 314gb low-power pi-drives...maybe msata drive, pretty expensive)
how thought doing it:
-as many solar panels can fit on rear of screen feeding to:
-electronic current converter thing (this 1 of bits i'm particularly clueless about) feeding to:
-phone charger box/s. might need 2+ in parallel adequate wattage. quite ones have 18650 batteries; both because can carry spare set , because i've found on ebay claim store 9600 mah...not sure if believe though.

so. feasible? there's couple of glaring flaws i'm not seeing, pointing them out helpful.
have no clue how power solar panels battery packs (which no doubt want 5v in), ideally in efficient (but safe...safe priority) manner possible.
