Error 0xc0000005 still persists after tech support options exhausted


my system specifications:
windows xp sp2
amd athlon 64 x2 3800+ (2.01ghz) cpu
2gb of ddr ram
asus a8n-sli premium motherboard
nvidia geforce 8800 gts 512 (driver v175.19 whql)
system drive: maxtor 7200rpm 300gb drive (over 200gb available)

i performed yet complete removal of *all* adobe software system. ran add/remove cs3, flash player, , adobe reader, follow reboot. ran cs3clean, first @ 1, followed reboot, cleared log file, ran cs3clean again, time @ level 2, followed reboot. manually removed remaining adobe folders , files (csclean did miss some). ran cs3clean yet again, @ level 3 (hidden option, mentioned in adobe kb article) , rebooted. @ point not single installed adobe file retained on computer, far i, or explorer search determine. no registry information of adobe installs remained. rebooted again (i do, sure when dealing installation issues).

i made sure no firewall, antivirus or other non-essential background tasks running. began installation of adobe cs3 production premium dvds. entire installation, serial number entry, start finish, ran without incident.

i rebooted, , before launching adobe software, once again made sure no friewall or antivirus programs running, , non-essential programs exited.

i launched photoshop cs3 , presented activation procedure which, according software worked , activation successful. photoshop proceeded continue loading procedure @ point crashed @ same place had prior entire process.

the error, reported code: 0xc0000005 same, , point @ thrown (during loading phase when "initializing palettes..." appears on splash screen) same.

so, @ point, @ complete loss how, or why, possible. cs3 applications worked @ 1 point, , , failed. have same video card drivers did before problem arose, , according directx diags , other system diagnostics, nothing seems amiss. other non-adobe programs, services , drivers function , perform exceedingly well. syste , hardware within spec cs3, , although cpu amd dual-core, did work more adequately short duration during cs3 operated normally, don't believe incompatible hardware issue.

all drivers installed motherboard, chipset, sound , other hardware work , have not been changed since before purchase , initial install of cs3, , tests performed subsequently show no failures or performance issues.

i have followed suggestions , instructions made available adobe regarding removal , re-installation of cs3 , yet problem persists. last , final recourse, far aware perform low-level format on system drive (c:) , reinstall windows, drivers , cs3. seems extremely harsh given problem has not been determined , concerned after of that, problem crop again.

is there other solution? if not, legal re-sell copy of cs3 once has been deactivated, , can "cancel" registration adobe cs3 owner? if can't use recoup @ least of investment, if possible.

if additional information regarding system, drivers, software or diagnostics required provide it. have tried include thought necessary.
