Did I fry the USB? (solved)

symptoms:

- board serial port not seem pop when connect pc.

- when power via usb board turns on led strip attavhed turns on leds reddish channels don't fed proper power , think board freezes.

fix?

can fix board easilly? cause? burned out?

can avoid this, wiring power leds separate board , solder power lead board input instead of going through usb?

cause :

i trying gauge how can draw 120 leds, usb power on 1a power bank. worked few minutes died.

where did have leds connected? 5v pin or output? if connected of them digital pin, pin should dead now.
have tried power board power supply instead of usb? arduino has automatic 500ma fuse on usb, power supply jack doesn't have protection.
you should try connect pc without leds too.
