Which image size in Workflow Options?

i'm using acr 4.2 , ps cs3. i'm shooting nikon d200 , d80. i'm enlarging images printed onto canvas (often around 1.5 metres long). far pretty good, improved resizing in acr? in workflow options selection in 4.2, can choose stick 3872 2592 (10mp) original image, or else increase maximum of 6144 4113 (25.3mp). understand acr uses algorithms increase image, gaining or losing in process? in other words, there advantage in increasing file size in acr if exporting images out of ps drastically enlarged in printing? (by way, if ramon reads this, no doubt will, i've found time bone-up on acr usage, you'll pleased hear!)

i think you'll find optimal uprezing, should use photoshop's bicubic smoother , sharpen texture , detail in image. pretty digital capture can go 200% , if image shot (no camera shake , focused) might able 400%.
