Thread: Poor quality scans

hi all

i've been happily using mustek 1248 flatbed scanner past few months, driver installation info on thread.

recently, quality of scans has dropped. main thing scan wife's timesheets , scans excellent quality - digital pictures of document , differentiate between black or blue ink.

scans poor quality black & white.

xsane settings attached.

wish post old , current examples of scans they've got personal info on them.

i've tried scanner on xp machine , image fine.

there way uninstall scanner , reinstall , it's drivers?
