[SOLVED] Arduino nano : is my USB chip dead ?

hi there,

i may end trashing nano board, i'd love know if result of mistake made or crappy chinese build. question experts here , i'd happy learn mistake whatever was...

i playing around nano when usb disconnections happened until stopped detected. if useful, powering ultrasonic "sound ranger" chip using ttl converter (5  to 3.3v, connected on both voltage on chip).

yes, it's 340g chip. yes, have correct driver (another nano happy it).

i did loopback test, burnt bootloader (desperate move, eh...).

still no usb detection, on linux on pc.

the thing can see on circuit small "475" smd cap seems blackened. have no idea if way before.

i might have spent 5 or 6 hours trying raise nano deads friend google.

thanks !

that capacitor damaged. think 475 4.7uf. bar on left positive side.
it used voltage regulator (the ams1117 above it).
but don't know if 5v or vin.

did apply high voltage of 12v or higher vin ?
perhaps heat ams1117 damaged capacitor.

remove capacitor. after try running board usb power , nothing connected (only usb cable).
