Log to linear potentiometer

hey guys,

i made adjustable power supply based in atx psu , circuit found on internet.
works fine there little problem, have logarithmic potentiometer makes voltage variation abrupt. of course say, go , buy linear one, it, there no stores here leave, have put on-line order , wait couple weeks.
i working in meantime, i'm wondering if possible convert logarithmic potentiometer in linear one, or similar behavior @ least.
tried attaching resistor between wiper , other leg (googled that) didn't notice change.
anything else try?
