GPS project on school - Raspberry Pi Forums


hello.

i'm having project on school group want use gps track movement of sail buoy , regulate direction rudder.

we're using microstack gps add-on pi , signal , everything, problem starts when move.

our tests have been on land around 15 minutes of walking, coordinates collect , later plot google maps doesnt quite make sense.

started code when had signal outside , waited in same position minute, walked red line shows around 10 minutes , stopped @ end of line 3 minutes before turned program off. walked our lab , connected pi monitor , got results , plotted in, 97 collected points, correct since collect points every 10 second, in same position.

seems gps might lagging behind, there 10 minutes , 500 meters walk start stop.

have inputs might help?
