i found technote detailing such issue when save or export pdf after adobe application has been left idle several days. however, when tried both suggested solutions, unable fix problem. may have corrupt file, file saves , shows no signs of error.
when try export file pdf file indesign cs2, don't error message when save file. receive error message when try open resulting pdf file has not been processed.
the error message see follows:
* exporting pdf file indesign cs2: file appears save without error, when open file acrobat see error "acrobat not open '[file name]' because either not supported file type or because file has been damaged (for example, sent email attachment , wasn't correctly decoded). create adobe pdf document, go source application. print document adobe pdf."
thus, tried solution 1: upgrading mac mac os x v10.5. didn't work.
then tried solution 2: save file, , restart application. did not work.

when restarting adobe application , save or export pdf, application rebuilds temporaryitems file."

hello everyone, i've gone , bought myself new 2.4ghz imac , done of updates tiger i'm running 10.4.11. indesign cs2 version 4.0.5.
i have simple a4 document 3 placed images updated version of many done previously. i've never had trouble writing pdf's them before until tonight on new mac. seems half way through , indesign quits.
if print pdf file it's okay, bit long winded when used exporting indesign.
any ideas?
