Conditional Text and Auto Numbering

our documentation department has created user guide in framemaker 7.0 windows. using document, want produce:
(1) pdf copy of user guide, contain screen shots have captured.
(2) online version of user guide (using webworks e-publisher pro version 9.2), include few figures.

we insert figures using "import file - reference" command. each figure placed in anchored frame using "at insertion point" option. enables use specific paragraph tag figures only. below each figure, insert auto-numbered caption using paragraph tag reserved captions only.

here problem: applied conditional text settings figure , figure caption styles see if tag of them "for pdf only." idea make these tagged elements invisible before compiling online help. found numbered portions of figure captions not become invisible. figure caption text disappear, however.

is there workaround problem? need auto numbering , conditional text. seems must choose 1 or other.

i believe epublisher pro provides own mechanisms handling framemaker condition tags.

so, don't worry controlling "pdf only" stuff in framemaker: print pdfs wish. work condition settings within epublisher pro.

i've done way few times , -- assuming framemaker based content conditionally tagged -- sort of thing you're trying do...
