i attempting install (dual-boot) 9.10 on g4 powerbook (osx 10.2) without reformatting hard drive. ran install live cd , got partition section of install. showed osx full size of hard drive (30g) , no free space. can use manual edit feature change size of it's partition? accept it? have installed 8.10 on few windows boxes , had no problems, have little experience mac. help.
you cannot rescale partition of osx. backup system in osx carbon copy cloner, make new partitions on mac, put osx system in 1 of empty partitions carbon copy cloner, install refit under osx , install ubuntu.
