Receiving low frequencies with Arduino

hello everyone,

first of all, sorry english i'm not native english speaker.

i d'like know if i'm trying achieve 1/ do-able 2/ requires hardware or software.

basically d'like plug jack stereo or mono signal (let's tv), , low frequencies (from 20hz 300hz). d'like arduino able know frequency being "played" , call function according it.

exemple:

frequency 20hz 50hz = call function 1 (servo specific movement 1)
frequency 51hz 100hz = call function 2 (servo specific movement 2)
frequency 101hz 150hz = call function 3 (servo specific movement 3)
and on.

do have idea on how achieve this? require hardware such low pass filter, or possible software?

if guys familiar buttkicker, it's i'd achieve without using transcducers.
