Home automatio switch light via wifi

hello all!

   i'm planning light automation via web, i'm intending using wifi shield instead of ethernet one.

   in short, know if has done , if so, wifi shield have used? i'm interested because couldn't find tutorial or information directs me correct wifi shield. of topics tells problems using wifi instead of ethernet.
