im new arduino don't know ?? im getting confused on power ??
i have been told cant run modules 5v+ on mega board im using
all 5v
lcd 16x2 light connect to digital pin controlled pir
lcd 20x4
reed magnetic senior ( used alarm )
lm35 temp senor
tsop382 ir senor
photocell
bte13-003 3x relay module ( control lighting system)
pir module (used control backlight 16x2)
pir module (used alarm)
buzzer ( used keypad press , error sounds)
12v
solenoid (used open door)
buzzer ( used alarm )
also battery backup
also power mega 2560 board
so how ?
?
please can wire diagram of need power module safely please
what size battery pack?,
what battery need?
what capacitors, resistors, tsop, etc
can use vin pin power mega ??
i have following items maybe use
ts2940

i managed find number of 5v 2a "plug packs" (american: "wall warts") @ computer markets.  i have picked many 5v phone chargers , power supplies rated 0.5a 1a @ garage sales.
phone chargers have various sorts of connectors including micro usb, odd sorts of mobile phone connectors can cut line socket off end , wire them circuit. almost 5v phone chargers nicely regulated 5v switchmode converters can connect directly 5v vcc on arduino should test them multimeter first. if not have multimeter, pack stuff , put away until buy 1 - $5 1 adequate.

12v "plug packs" pretty common also.
