i managed find number of 5v 2a "plug packs" (american: "wall warts") @ computer markets.  i have picked many 5v phone chargers , power supplies rated 0.5a 1a @ garage sales.

phone chargers have various sorts of connectors including micro usb, odd sorts of mobile phone connectors can cut line socket off end , wire them circuit.  almost 5v phone chargers nicely regulated 5v switchmode converters can connect directly 5v vcc on arduino should test them multimeter first.  if not have multimeter, pack stuff , put away until buy 1 - $5 1 adequate. :smiley-lol:

12v "plug packs" pretty common also.
