Editing Mark iii files in Camera Raw

i running acr 4.1 on mac 10.4.8, photoshop cs3. when go edit raw file, shot canon mark iii, in photoshop, first select in photo mechanic , hit edit, takes me straight photoshop, instead of launching camera raw editing window.

is problem camera raw or photoshop? or should asking photo mechanic people?

i'm not familiar using photo mechanic. happens if go photoshop, file > open , select raw file markiii? open straight up? or go camera raw?
