CSS style with variations

i may create css style using pxl height (?) browsers see type want them to, or close that.

creating style not problem. reading on that, create new blank page or 2 , try different ideas , see how several browsers see them.

but in number already-existing situations apply style, there may within given paragraph bold or italic or colored type. it's understanding (so far) style remove style variations, not want do.

how create css style accommodates existing style variations within given paragraph?

thanks.

how did assign color/bold/italics styling? under normal circumstances, if set pixel size type, won't affect other display properties. if assign style "font-style: normal" paragraph, if there other tags inside strong, em, b, i... still show bold, italics, etc. because they're inside different pair of tags. styles cascade, don't override unless told so.
